Four Hospitalized After Car Leaves Road Near Here
Five Florida residents were injured, two critically, when their 1953 Packard left the road 92 10 miles west of here and plunged 15 feet into a canal bed. Sam and Nathan Lockmiller of Clearmont, and Mrs. Sam Lockmiller and Mrs. J. W. Lockmiller of Zolfo Springs were hospitalized. J. W. Lockmiller escaped with minor injuries. The group was en route to Tyler Texas for the funeral of Charlie Lockmiller.

Services Today For 4 Students Killed In Crash
Four high school students died in a train car collision near Wisner on Thursday night. Funeral services will be held Saturday morning in Wisner First Baptist Church for Robert Cruce Rupert Scott and Claudette Tarver, with arrangements through First National Funeral Home of Winnsboro. Patsy McMurrian will have services at Farmerville First Baptist Church at 10 30 a.m. under Kilpatrick Funeral Home. Pallbearers include former football teammates and senior classmates. The accident occurred at a grade crossing two miles south of Wisner on state highway 15 about 7 30 p.m. Thursday.

Case Of Sleeping Sickness Found
EDINBURG Texas April 8 The Hidalgo county health unit reports the first sleeping sickness case this year in the Lower Rio Grande Valley where an outbreak is feared again. A mosquito eradication program began last month and health officials warn of possible new cases if mosquitoes remain. Last case was reported December. In year several died, most cases mild.
