Illinois youth dies in one car crash in Green County

The 17 year old Michael K Erickson of Roscoe Illinois died in a one car crash Saturday night at 856 pm on Wis 11 two miles north of Airport Road in Decatur Township Green County The victim was pronounced dead on arrival at St Clare Hospital He was a Harlem High School graduate and worked as a tool man for Delta Midstates Corp for one month The crash also injured a passenger Gordon D Demus 17 of Rockford Illinois who received minor injuries The car rolled three times after hitting a mailbox and a post and Erickson was thrown from the vehicle The body will lie in state at Grace Lutheran Church Loves Park with funeral services there Wednesday at 10 am Burial in Sunset Memorial Gardens Rockford
