Earl Alderson a 55 year old Lancaster farmer was sentenced in circuit court to from 1 to 5 years in prison with a $750 fine for negligent homicide in a fatal crash on highway 18 at Mt Ida. The sentence was suspended and he received probation after admitting alcohol use. The victim Amos West a 29 year old war veteran was killed in the incident.
