Monroe residents will carry a larger share of the Green County tax load this year with the city share set at 27.665 percent of the district budget to be adopted by the County Board in November. Brodhead’s share drops slightly to 6.28 percent as five of six villages rise and 12 of 18 townships fall. Total valuations show Monticello and New Glarus posting notable real estate gains.
