Richard Neese, 9, of rural Sheboygan County was killed when a car driven by his father Kenneth Neese, 36, struck a North Western freight train at a crossing on County Trunk V three miles south of Sheboygan in foggy weather. Kenneth Neese was injured.

Two Army transport planes from Ft. Benning collided in formation during air maneuvers in the Carolinas and Georgia. Six soldiers were killed and 32,000 personnel were participating in the exercise. Final Corn Crop Rate To Be $1 10
William A. Tschudy, chair man of the Green County ASCS Committee, announced the final rate for Green County farmers to seal this year's corn crop is 1.10. The rate matches 1963 and earlier 1964 announcements and aligns with a $1.25 price support at the national level. Farmers in the 1964 Feed Grain program have already received 15 cents of the $1.25, enabling sealing at 1.10. Last year Green County sealed 75,000 bushels. by Aug 1, 1964 all notes were repaid and no corn entered storage.
