Gilbert Ott Die at 55 Famed as Tell in New Glarus
Gilbert F. Ott 55 known as Tell died at 4 a.m. in St. Clare hospital after cancer battle. He served as New Glarus village president and held a leave of absence earlier in September. Ott, a prominent lumber dealer, led New Glarus and Swiss United Church of Christ, sang with Maennerchor and Yodelers, and owned a six pony wagon used in parades. He is survived by wife Dorothea, a son Don, mother, brother Harvey, and four grandchildren. Services Sunday at Swiss United Church of Christ with burial in church cemetery.

Six Lives Lost In Train Wreck Near Miles City
