Willard F Brandt 76 of 608 14th avenue died at 6 40 p m yesterday in the Green county home of old age complications after three years of illness. Born in Monroe Sept 28 1875 he was the son of John and Anna Schafer Brandt and attended Monroe schools. He married Bertha Chambers March 28 1900 in Fayette Lafayette county. He worked 15 years for Borden Co in Monroe and 16 years as an attendant at the county farm retiring in 1938. For 45 years he lived in the same home. Survived by his widow three sons Fred Monticello Ed Monroe and Ralph Waukegan and five grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother in infancy and a son Howard in 1928. Services Monday at 2 pm from Stuessy Funeral Home with Rev Newell Mendenhall of Grace Lutheran Church officiating and burial in Greenwood cemetery.
