Olson faces trial in Sauk County holdup slaying

Baraboo reports Richard J. Olson 27 of Aurora Illinois bound over for circuit court after waiving preliminary hearing on first degree murder charges in the Sept. 10 death of Wanda Klingenmeier 53 owner’s wife and with attempted murder and armed robbery related to the LaRue tavern holdup. Tarr Task Force Bill Killed In Senate Vote

Madison AP reports the Tarr Task Force Bill revising the state's shared tax formula was defeated 18 to 13. Democrats voted against the bill with McParland leading dissents. Republicans split with 17 voting for and 4 against. Roseleip voted no.

Aircraft Losses Mounting in Vietnam War Tally

About 800 members organize the affair eight years ago with church groups. 75 percent of items donated. Net proceeds go to Memorial Hospital benefit fund. this year’s goal about $10,000. Mrs W v McGowan of Janesville marks her 90th birthday with a three week trip to Ireland, joined by daughter Mrs Rose and son William McGowan. Born Oct 20 1879 in Ireland, she left 62 years ago. Thieu May Now Agree On Pullout Timetable

Asian diplomatic sources report a private understanding between President Nixon and South Vietnam President Thieu on withdrawing U S troops by end of 1970. If the enemy stays calm and Vietnamese training stays swift, 20 000 troops monthly might depart, with 60 000 already ordered home for a total of 300 000 by year end. City urges residents to rake leaves to curb. crew to collect next week
