Monroe lineman Bob Silvis earned honorable mention on the 1973 Associated Press All-State football team. The senior defensive end led Monroe with sacks and big plays, joining Sun Prairie’s Bob Buss as Badger Conference honorees as the team leaned toward players from larger schools. Darlington’s Nestor Dominguez made second team at center.
