Study Ordered On Junior High

The Board of Education authorized a detailed cost study to compare remodeling a 55 year old junior high wing versus building a new addition up to 35 000 square feet to meet rising needs. Existing plans to raze and replace with a new wing estimated at 425 000 dollars. They expect Henry Tschudy to conduct the work.

The 71st annual Wisconsin Cheesemakers Convention is scheduled for November 7 and 8 at the Northland Hotel in Green Bay. Monroe Mother Dies In West Side Fire Explosion Suspected

Viola Bowman 32 mother of two Virginia five and William three died in a house fire on the west side of Monroe. Coroner W E Deininger ruled her dead from intense heat and smoke after an explosion was suspected in the kitchen. Neighbors reported she searched for her children as flames poured from the bungalow. Firemen saved the exterior and attached garage but the interior was destroyed.

Ranger 5 Moon Mission Aims for Sunday Landing

Spacecraft Ranger 5 launched from Cape Canaveral aboard an Atlas Agena B rocket on a 231 500 mile mission to photograph the moon before landing near Copernicus crater. Arson Probed In North Woods Barn Fires Near Mishicot

Three barns on two farms were burned in the Mishicot area near Two Rivers in a sequence of fires. Investigators linked the blazes to possible arson after residents heard a car leave just before each fire at about 4 a.m. The Weidemuller Jambeau Creek farm and the Koeppel Saxonburg hill farm suffered major losses along with farm machinery. Estimated damage around sixty thousand dollars.
