Galaxy transport explodes at Dobbins Air Force Base
A C5 Galaxy, the world’s largest aircraft, exploded and burned in a parking area near the main runway at Dobbins Air Force Base Georgia. One civilian employee was killed and another injured. FBI aid joined the investigation while the $50 million plane burned for over an hour. Maj. John Eckhardt said both victims were Lockheed Georgia Co. workers.
