400 Youths Groom Animals at Wisconsin Junior Livestock Show
More than 400 youths from 17 southern Wisconsin counties begin grooming and showing animals at the 40th annual Wisconsin Junior Livestock Expo. Judging for pigs and lambs is slated, beef cattle to follow. 409 beef steers, 291 hogs, and 126 lambs participate, with $60,000 in potential auction proceeds. The event is sponsored by the Wisconsin Livestock Breeders Association and the UW College of Agriculture.

Mrs Budde 67 Beloit Resident Dies After Illness
Mrs. August Budde 67 a native of Green County and Beloit area resident for four years died at 9 15 a m yesterday in a Beloit hospital after years of illness. Born June 8 1888 in Jordan Township she was married Feb 22 1908 in Browntown. Survived by husband daughter Mrs Raymond Flanagan Beloit son Raymond Milton Junction two sisters Mrs Ferdinand Snyder Winslow and Mrs Magdalena Stauffacher Monroe and nine grandchildren three great grandchildren. Funeral services tomorrow at 2 p m at Shriner Neushwander funeral home with Rev W J Baese of St John s Lutheran Beloit officiating burial in Greenwood cemetery.
