Sixteen tables of euchre and 500 were played at a party by the Altar Society of St. Rose Church in Dowling Hall Sunday night. Mrs. Mina Lee won high in 500 and Mrs. Howard Gilbertson low. Gordon Lee won for the men with Je Dammen as low. In euchre, Mrs. Charley Easter and Nathan Schalfli won high, with Diane Weckerly and Roger Berry low. Lee Quinn received a decorated cake as special prize and Mrs. James Highland got a decorated pumpkin.

Mr and Mrs Harland Skattum hosted a Sunday birthday party at home for their grandson Gierhart son of Mr and Mrs John Gierhart marking his third birthday. Guests included Miss Irene Mrs Lucile Schaber Carol Madison great grandmother Mrs Lewis Skattum and other relatives. Douglas received gifts and a decorated cake was shared. Power joins piano teachers seminar in Madison
