State Highway Death Toll Hits 831 Today
The Wisconsin highway death toll for 1964 rose to 831 after two women died in separate accidents. Worker Burned in Welding Accident at Local Yard
Cunningham, 64, of 1028 30th Avenue, is reported in fair condition at St. Clare hospital with burns to his extremities after his clothes caught fire while welding beams with an acetylene torch. The incident happened in the W. A. Stauffacher Construction Co. yard at noon. he was alone when Darius Eastman of South Wayne saw the fire, fetched water, and extinguished the flames. He was admitted to the hospital at 12 40 p.m.

Mr and Mrs Edgar Staggs of Brodhead announce the birth of twins at St Clare hospital in Monroe. The boy weighed 5 pounds 13 ounces and was born at 8 45 am. the girl weighed 5 pounds at birth and arrived at 9 08 am. They are the fourth set of twins this year at the hospital. Grandmothers are Mrs Virginia Highbaugh and Mrs Etta Walker. The Staggs also have daughters Debra aged 10 and Lana aged 7. Staggs is plant manager for Apco Manufacturing Co in Brodhead.
