Norman F. Trumpy of near Monticello is charged by warrant with leaving the scene after a collision with a Blanchardville woman on County Trunk CC east of Mt. Pleasant Township. The crash left both cars heavily damaged. the Monticello driver fled into a field and no injuries were reported.

Bus Post Office Arrives Tomorrow in Monroe
A 300 piece pep band from Monroe High School directed by Allan F. Barnard will play during the public inspection of the bus type mobile post office tomorrow. The unit will be met by city police at the north outskirts and escorted to the rear of the post office, with inspection at 10 14 a m. Afterwards the post office will be moved to the west limits under sheriff supervision to Lafayette line. Normal school pupils will suspend classes to inspect the vehicle. John J. Burkhard postmaster will introduce visiting postal officials after Rev John A MacMartin conducts invocation and Mayor Brooks J Dunwiddie gives welcome.

Car Plunges Off Detour Curve Killing Woman and Injuring Son
Mrs. Rues Fern Meek, 60, of Decatur Iowa, died from head and other injuries after a car driven by her son George Meek, 22, left Highway 1181 detour four miles north of Brodhead. He and a large truck had earlier driven off the same curve. Meek was taken to St Clare hospital with deep head cuts. Mrs. Meek was dead at the wreck. The truck left a swath through a grove of young trees after the same curve. Meek worked for Barr Ex Ray Co Milwaukee and Mrs. Meek had lived in Beloit. Funeral arrangements in Brodhead Iowa relatives arrived today.
