Olaf Olmstead of Plymouth Dies at 76
Olaf Olmstead 76, died at five this morning at his Plymouth township home after a heart ailment. Born April 12, 1877 in Newark township, he married Tilla Fossum March 11, 1896 and lived in Plymouth since. Surviving are two sons Nile and LaVern, a daughter Eileen, two sisters, and his wife deceased since 1924. Funeral Friday at 2 pm at East Luther Valley church Orfordville, Rev. Marcus S. Lewis officiating. Burial in East Luther Valley cemetery. Friends may call Thursday at Everson funeral home Brodhead.

Firemen Stage Mock Fire At Chandler House

Three members knew the alarm was a ruse as smoke bombs rubbish and flares filled the house while two hose lines were deployed. Chilton High School cancels the last four football games after a player contracts polio. Athletic Director Otto Breitenbach said Joe Knepfel was hospitalized Tuesday afternoon and county authorities ordered quarantine for two weeks. The halt blocks two scheduled games and, with no practice, the school canceled the season. Chilton competes in the Eastern Wisconsin conference and had a 3 1 record.
