Woman Found Dead In Monroe Home
Mrs Meta Walter 69 of Monroe was found dead in the basement of 1318 21st Avenue this morning. Coroner Wilbur E Deininger ruled death by her own action by hanging and no inquest will be held. Born in 1889 she was a housekeeper for John Nyman and had lived in Monroe for years. Despondent recently, arrangements are pending at Shriner Neushwander funeral home.

Elvehjem inaugurated as UW president at formal ceremony

Frank A. TenEyck 76 prominent rural Brodhead farmer and Decatur Township assessor died at 8 55 p m yesterday in St Clare hospital after a short illness. He was born June 14 1882 in Decatur Township and lived in Brodhead most of his life. He sang in local choirs, belonged to Brodhead Methodist Church and Knights of Pythias. Surviving are his wife Margaret a daughter Merritt Milks Brodhead two sons Peter Edgerton and Frank Jr South Beloit and three grandchildren. Services 2 p m Saturday Newcomer Funeral Home Brodhead with burial at Scotch Hill Cemetery. Friends may call tomorrow night.
