Hundreds of farmers and families watched rain soaked corn picking at the Colburn Broughton farm near Albany as Miss Deanna Grant of Monroe was crowned Queen of Corn. The county contest, regional preliminaries, and state contest run through Friday with winners advancing to St Joseph Mo and the national event October 15. Grant, 17, hopes to be an airline hostess after graduation.

New York police report recovery of three of the Brook lyn Museum art treasures seized by two mischief causing boys.
