Police and hospital staff investigate a dapper intruder who entered the physicians room at St. Clare hospital near surgery and left with Dr Cr. E. Baumle's billfold. A hospital visitor who claimed to be Dr. Ross of Elkhorn was seen briefly and then vanished. The man is described as 5'9", 185 pounds, medium build, gray pin-stripe suit, black hair.

The death of Ben King age 34 of Rockford followed a training flight crash on his father's farm between Brodhead and Albany. Coroner Herman A. Stuessy ruled the incident accidental. Eyewitnesses were scarce and King died en route to St. Clare hospital after the Luscombe aircraft nose dived in a corn field. King had 27 hours of flight time with 18 solo and had trained at South Beloit airport under the GI bill. Funeral plans set for 2 p.m. Thursday at Everson funeral home Brodhead.
