State CD Head To Speak Here
William K. Chipman state director of Civil Defense will address Monroe high school PTA at 7:45 p.m. Wednesday in the M room on Civil Defense Planning for the Home School and Community. The PTA asks all members city officials and CD personnel to attend. Chipman who began the post in March has UW degrees and is pursuing a law PhD. He has taught at UW and practiced law in Madison. He spent a year in Europe meeting CD officials and learning Civil Defense.

Mrs. K C Bogue of Fond du Lac Dies at 59
Mrs. Kenneth C. Bogue formerly Shirley Dietz of Monroe died at 8 30 last night in St Agnes hospital Fond du Lac after surgery last week. She had long service as a court reporter and secretary to notable figures in Chicago and Wisconsin. Survived by a son and five sisters, services set for 3 PM Saturday at Bidlingmaier funeral home Fond du Lac with Rev Ralph Walter officiating. Burial at Cedar Memorial Park.

Juveniles Face Arson Charges In Rural Case
Seven juveniles from Monroe Browntown and South Wayne will be brought to juvenile court Saturday on arson charges. Sheriff A Charles Howe said the abandoned farmhouse on William Grant property six miles south of Monroe in Clarno Township burned after a Halloween prank with a lighted match. The vacant home, unused for about 200 years, was half destroyed when firefighters arrived and had been used for teenage parties.
