Mrs Eveland 83 Dies After Two Year Illness
Mrs. Nancy Ann Eveland 83 of South Wayne died early today at Masshardt Convalescent Home after a two year illness. A native of Cadiz Township she was the former Nancy Ann Black daughter of Richard Black. Born Sept 23 1869 she was married to David Eveland who died January 1931. She leaves a son Royce at home a son Ray Darlington three grandchildren five great grandchildren and a brother Ernest Black Judson Minnesota. Services 1:30 p m Sunday at Hanson Funeral Home South Wayne with Rev Charles J Swanson officiating burial Franklin Cemetery.

In an emergency session the Monroe City Council unanimously approved a 22.50 tax rate and a record levy of 594000.36 despite a budget cut of 3648.76.
