Green County adopts $8.9 million budget with 12.5% levy rise

Green County supervisors approved an $8.9 million budget after a quiet hearing at the courthouse. The equalized tax rate drops to 4.68 per 1,000, while the levy rises to $2,385,430 and total expenditures reach $8,974,504 with highways funded at $2,795,718.
