Hospital Drive Payment Ready for St. Clare Campaign
Letters were sent to the citizens committee for the St. Clare hospital drive calling a Monday meeting to authorize final audit payments. Rod ney O. Kittelsen, secretary, will oversee payment of audit costs and transfer the balance to the hospital. The May 15 claim for 8454.83 remains due from the 1947 fund drive. Roy F. Burmeister, bank president, said payment will be made. Previous disbursements totaled 62000, audits show 71000.59 in receipts and 545.76 in prior expenses.

Inquest Ruled Out In G E Wenger Case
Coroner Herman A. Stuessy announced there will be no inquest into the death of George E. Wenger 74 who died at St. Clare hospital on November 8. He signed a verdict citing accident injuries. Hay Stack Fire Endangers John Blum Farm
A lightning struck hay stack on the John Blum farm six and one half miles northwest of Monroe on highway 81 burned for 24 hours. Neighbors watched the site as flames threatened buildings including the barn and house. Monroe fire department battled the blaze from 8 57 p m to 3 a m with nine firefighters.

Tests last week sought the leveling off point of the water table and causes for a drop from 1000 gpm to 651 gpm since service began September 1 1950.
