Jalmar Holman a 29 year old Augusta Wisconsin garage owner confessed the story of a dead boy in a car rear seat was imaginative. The FBI said there may be no charges as Sheriff Ray Kuhlman noted early suspicions and authorities would not pursue charges.

Mrs Canfil 86 Dies at Albany Home
Mrs. Sarah Canfil aged 86 died at 12 30 today at the home of Mrs. Olive Hilliard where she had lived since July 1949. A native of Mt Pleasant township she was the daughter of Joseph and Anna Keylock. She married Louis O Canfil in 1889 and lived in Attica before moving to Albany in 1914. Surviving are son Raymond daughter Maude Reasa Albany three grandchildren Clifford Reasa Harry Reasa and Mrs Eugene Doyle and a great grandson. Arrangements are pending at Sharer funeral home.

Fire at County Highway Shops Blazes Early Morning
Firemen rushed to the county highway shops at the city’s northeast edge at 6 30 a m when heat in the heating plant room sparked a blaze. A sofa near the coal stoker furnace ignited after the furnace door blew open. Smoke filled the basement as caretaker Adam Schwartzlow arrived. Heaviest damage likely to the furnace as water boiled away and equipment remained too hot to inspect for hours.

August Milk Prices Rise With Factory Charge
The August average price for milk delivered to factories reached 3.19 dollars, up 24 cents from July. State brand Swiss ranged 43 42, B 39, C 36, grinders 34 with Limburger at 38 cents. July values were 41 40, 37, 34, 32 and 36 cents for Limburger. Butterfat tests averaged 3.27 in August, up from 3.24 in July.

Theodul Meichtry 69 Green County resident dies at home of daughter Mrs Raymond Blum route 3 Freeport after a year long illness. Born Marie Oggier November 7 1882 in Canton Valais Switzerland she married Theodur Meichtry March 10 1913 in Zurich. They came to America in June with nephew David Meichtry and farmed Green and Jordan townships retiring in 1941. Survived by daughter a brother Gustav Oggier in Switzerland a sister Mrs David Meichtry Evansville five grandchildren and one sister preceded her in death. Services Monday at 9 in Stuessy Funeral Home and 9:30 at St Victor's Church burial in Calvary Cemetery Rosary at 8 p.m. tomorrow in the funeral home.

Lt Judd Clarence Hodgson, 23, of Dakota Illinois, reported missing in action after his bomber failed to return from a Tuesday flight during the Korea war. He served nearly seven years in the navy air force and led a submarine patrol bomber with six crew aboard. He is a nephew of Sherman Hodgson of Lake Drive.
