Education Week Set to Open with Open House Across Monroe Schools
Education Week begins Monday in Monroe with open houses and activities across public and parochial schools. High school parents meet at 7 45 p.m. in the M Room then choose four 20 minute sessions from 11 departments and a 45 minute seniors session on college prep. Junior high hosts nightly 6 to 8 p.m. with alphabetic attendance. Elementary schools hold varied Thursday and Tuesday sessions. Outlying schools plan parents meetings and demonstrations. Rev Anthony Becker of Boylan High will speak Wednesday at St Victor's gym. Faculty attend Waunakee education convention next Thursday.

13 Pilots Fined Over Lax Flight Duty Violations
The Federal Aviation Agency fined 13 airline pilots for inattention to flight duty and ordered Eastern Air Lines to create a corrective plan. Hormone Contamination Suit Targets New York Firm
