Bioff, a 55 year old former film and racketeering front man, was killed when his pickup exploded at his northeast Phoenix home. Investigators say little to go on as they recover remains and seek leads from Bioff’s known associates and materials mailed from several cities.

Services will be Monday at 10 30 a m at the South Wayne Methodist church with Rev John F Wreford officiating. Burial will be in the Viola cemetery. Also named Viola 4 H Club agent Wes Alberts to succeed Frank Campbell as Rock County agricultural agent.

Darlington Crash Kills Two Youths In Head-On Collision
A 20-year-old Darlington man William Lee Johnson and his 21-year-old passenger Joyce Catherine Howe died early today after their car collided head on with another vehicle on Main Street. Ronald Hexom, 23, also of Darlington, was hospitalized in serious condition. The mishap, at 1:20 a.m., marked Lafayette County’s fifth motor vehicle death of the year, with speeds believed high on the two-lane road.

A propeller driven fighter type aircraft crashed in a wooded edge of Rockford at 10 30 a m CST killing the pilot. The Navy tied to Glenview Ill Naval Air Station but could not confirm base.
