Bloom, still hospitalized for diabetes, asks callers to reach his wife. the goodwill truck will visit Monroe next Wednesday November 15 to collect items from those who sign up, a day also marking his 29th birthday, his eye hospital origin anniversary, and his late daughter's death anniversary.

34 4-Hers Compete In Fall Dairy Judging
Steven Digman of the Hilltop 4H Club topped the Fall 4H Dairy Judging contest held on John Ruff and Alfred Meier farms. Thirty four members competed as Brown Swiss and Holstein cattle were judged in six classes with four reasoning sets. Digman scored 397 of 500 to win, followed by Wayne Houlberg of Oak Corners in second and Richard Ammon of Monroe Ag in third. Indergand of Hiawatha placed fourth. Oak Corners Club won the team competition.
