Peter N. Petersen 72 died at his Evansville home after a long illness. A Denmark native, he settled in Kenosha then moved to Evansville 35 years ago. He and Elizabeth Rohling wed in 1906 and ran the Evansville bakery 17 years. Survived by wife, three sons Andrew Frank Louis all of Chicago, a sister in Denmark and four grandchildren. Services at 2 p.m. Friday at Roderick Ward funeral home with Rev. Grant Clark officiating. burial in Maple Hill cemetery.

Rites for Crash Victim Tomorrow
Services for Bernard J. Kivlin 80 of Brooklyn who died from injuries in a traffic crash south of Oregon will be held at Holy Mother of Consolation Church Oregon at 9 45 a m. Burial is in St Marys cemetery Oregon. The rosary is recited this evening at Booth funeral home Oregon. Kivlin was alone in the car and died after a collision with Walter H Zweifel 55 of Oregon. Zweifel and his daughter were injured. Surviving include his wife two sons Chester Evansville and Jerome Wisconsin Dells two grandchildren three sisters and three brothers. Dane County Coroner Joseph W asoyst is investigating the accident.

Army officials told Sen McCarthy two officers received official reprimands for delays in handling the Peress case. Major John J McManus was discharged for an unrelated reason while Maj Gen William E Bergin and Brig Gen Ralph Zwicker were not charged, Stevens says. Peress, a New York dentist, claimed Fifth Amendment protection in 1952 and received an honorable discharge in 1954, a move McCarthy had urged be dishonorable.
