Twenty eight European dairy specialists from Austria Belgium Germany Italy Norway Portugal and Yugoslavia visit the University of Wisconsin to study progress in U S dairying and plan a June 5 6 field trip to Green County including Brown Swiss herds Swiss cheese and the Jake Voelgel herd en route to Madison the trip is sponsored by the Mutual Security Agency with aims to gain development ideas for home dairies.

Darlington City Council awarded two sewer and disposal plant contracts totaling 227 404 dollars. Bloomer Truck and Shovel Co of Bloomington received 161 939 dollars for the disposal plant construction and equipment while Carl T Frank Co of Winona Minnesota was chosen for two new sewer lines and a trunk sewer at 45 465 dollars.
