Runaway Auto Crashes Through Madawaska School Band
In Madawaska Maine a car plowed into a school band massing for a parade injuring twelve students. Three were dragged beneath the vehicle as it crashed through a guard rail and embankment. Driver George Pelletier 62 said the gas pedal stuck and faced a drunken driving charge with $5000 bail. Bandmaster Edward Murphy was knocked down signaling the band to march.
