Green County Bike Ride for the Handicapped draws 67 cyclists
Sixty seven bicyclists joined the Green County Bike Ride for the Handicapped on Saturday May 22. Miss Luann Stauffacher announced the event and urged sponsors to turn in funds to treasurer Mrs Robert Prain at 2308 16th Avenue or coordinator Mrs Lester Andrews at the Social Services Department in the Court House or registrar Miss Stauffacher at 2270 16th St. Checks are payable to New Concept Foundation. Andrews and her committee praised sponsors and prize donors as details on the total raised and prize winners will be announced.

Former U S senator Thomas Dodd of Connecticut died of a heart attack at age 64 in OLD LYME. He was censured by the Senate in 1967 over campaign fund use and left public life after an independent bid in 1970.
