State DOT urges motorists to slow for road painting
The State Department of Transportation asks drivers to exercise extra caution as highway paint crews work on centerlines edgelines and lane markings. Major routes will be prioritized with dashed yellow centerlines replacing dashed white, and counties will accelerate repainting this summer to complete the changeover. Each conversion to heated paint costs about $5000 per machine.
