Leuricxson Erickson, 16, of Blanchardville is in serious condition at St. Clare hospital after a head on collision near Lafayette county trunks and the main street. He suffered a compound jaw fracture chest injuries and severe leg cuts. He fell asleep at the wheel and struck a culvert, then walked to summon help before being transported to Monroe for surgery. He is a Blanchardville High junior and was a vocal soloist in a state music contest in Madison last weekend. his birthday is next week.

Driver Abandons Car After Jumping Curb Near High School

He had suffered heart trouble for a year. Services will be Monday at Rice Lake.
