An 18 year old Austrian girl Hildegard Hoffmann born in Vienna aims to become a citizen of the United States. She lives with her uncle Alfred Anderegg and aunt in Chicago's 1720 20th Street and works in Joe Kuhne's office while taking English at Monroe High School. Hoffmann had previously worked at Hubner Co. and studied tailoring and knitting. She vacationed in Switzerland with the Andereggs in 1946 and 1947. She applied for immigration in 1953 and waited almost five years.

Oregon Man Dies in Highway Fatality Toll Reaches 220
William B. Minch a 70 year old retired Oregon rural mail carrier died from injuries after a fall from a lumber truck on Highways 13 and 14 at the Oregon village limits. The incident was recorded as a highway fatality by the state motor vehicle department, bringing the 1958 Wisconsin toll to 220 versus 251 a year earlier.

Skunk Bite Case Probed In Janesville

Council Okays Engineer Firm for Highway 69 Project
