Obituary: R B Bliss 84 of Brodhead Dies
R B Bliss Sr 84 of Brodhead died today at 8 05 am in St Clare hospital after a long illness. He was born in Decatur Township July 28 1876 the son of Jencks and Melissa Green Bliss. He married Alice Griffin June 14 1900. He was a machinist and operated the first gasoline engine in the area for custom sawing and threshing. Survivors include his wife four sons two daughters a sister 15 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren. Services Saturday at 130 pm in Newcomer funeral home Brodhead with burial in Greenwood cemetery. Friends may call Friday night.
