He will receive 172.55 in merchandise prizes from local merchants after submitting the entry I bought a car in Monroe now because by spending today it helps another man's pay. The parade drew thousands despite rain threats and a routing mixup involving Monroe high school band.

Power Firm Gets OK to Build Wisconsin Power Lines

Ernest Pauli 86 New Glarus Dies After illness
Ernest Pauli 86 of New Glarus died 8 30 p m yesterday at White Haven Nursing Home after months of illness. He was born January 28 1872 in Canton Bern Switzerland and moved to Monroe area at 21. He married Rosa Altman March 28 1899 and worked as a cheesemaker until 1912 then farmed in New Glarus. Surviving are four sons Fred Joann Henry Edwin two daughters two sisters in Switzerland twelve grandchildren and four great grandchildren. Burial will be in Swiss church cemetery following services Monday at 2 p m Rev Lynn F B Tschudy officiating. Friends may call Zentner funeral home New Glarus.
