Community Plans Memorial Fund for Juda High School Nine

The Juda Board of Education voted to create the The Class of 1967 Memorial Scholarship Fund in memory of nine senior girls killed in a New Orleans tragedy. A public memorial service is set for Sunday at 2 p.m. in the Juda High School gym with three ministers assisting.

Woodford Man Dies in Truck Accident Near Monroe

Keith F. Jackson 52 of Woodford died when his truck rolled over off County Trunk Y about six miles northwest of Monroe. Deputies say the vehicle left the road, rolled 200 feet into a ditch. An autopsy will determine cause. heart attack possible. Jackson had worked as a truck driver and farmer. Survivors include wife Edna, two sons Roger and Steven, daughter Sandra Stauffacher, and siblings. He was a Woodford resident and member of Jordan Evangelical Lutheran Church.
