Eight Monroe high school students seven from Brodhead and four from Milton earned A ratings at the league forensics meet and advance to the district contest in Fort Atkinson on April 7. Second Villa Louis Ruling Orders City To Relinquish Home
Circuit Judge Roland J. Steinle ordered Prairie du Chien to deed Villa Louis mansion to the state historical society. This marks a second ruling in six months as the city and society clash over ownership. Mayor William D. Carroll opposes the move amid a long dispute over the 1843 villa built by Col. Hercules L.
