Love Spat Blamed In Kidnap Alarm In St Louis
A divorced Missouri couple ended a daylong search after a note claiming a kidnapping and a move to Canada prompted a general alarm. Robert Woodring Jr. 21 was suspended and later indicted for assault with intent to do bodily harm. The pair returned home unharmed after denying any real kidnapping intent and saying they sought to resolve their differences. The note stemmed from a lovers quarrel and confusion.
