A town weather notice notes cooler tonight with lows from 12 to 22 in the north and 20s in the south. Partly sunny with little temperature change, and Wednesday highs expected in the 38 to 48 range. Central areas may see light snow flurries tonight with lows 22 to 31. South remains mostly cloudy with partly sunny north, Wednesday highs 36 to 44 in central and south and 38 to 48 in the north.

An accident at St. Clare Hospital lists Walter E. Gould, 81, Blanchardville, and Rev. Carmen Thronson, Orfordville, among others treated. Other patients named include Mrs. Leona Taylor of Green County Hospital, Mrs. James Bryson Jr. of Darlington, Mrs. David Sorenson of Beloit, Mrs. Charles E. Harris of Durand, Milburn Miller of Browntown, and James P. of unknown.
Tommy J. Oscar Hegge, 74, of Orfordville, died today at 6 54 a.m. in St. Clare Hospital after ten days as a patient. Born November 15, 1895 in Plymouth township, he was a World War I veteran and Luther Valley Church member. Funeral Thursday at 3 p.m. at Luther Valley Church officiated by Rev. Duane Bottsen. burial in Luther Valley Cemetery. Friends may call Wednesday at Newcomer Silverthorn Funeral Home in Orfordville.
Grace Lutheran Church hosts the noon Lenten service on March 18 with Rev Brigham Wheelock of Peace United Church speaking on The Seven Last Words From the Cross. Weekly 12:05 and 12:35 pm services continue through Lent with community pastors. Luncheons by church women run 11:30 to 1:30. Knights of Pythias meet March 19 at 8 pm in IOOF Monroe. Monroe Common Council convenes to receive Phillip Davy report on enlarging the disposal plant and to act on journeyman licenses for Ronald A. Neinfeldt and Edward A. Haase. They will grant an operator license to Alfred A. Gerber and approve payments to Bruce Municipal Equipment for a street sweeper and Alphorn Ford for a disposal plant truck.
Mrs Amelia Tschudy Graf 87 of Fond du Lac died Monday after illness. She married Norbert J Graf in 1901 and moved to Fond du Lac in 1910. Evan Bonn 66 of Mt. Horeb died unexpectedly Sunday at his home. A farmer and farm implement dealer for Allis Chalmers, he was a United Methodist member. Survived by wife Gladys Sanders and two daughters Eva Jean Baumgardner and Gail. two grandchildren. Last rites Thursday at United Methodist Church Mt. Horeb. Visitation Wednesday at Gesme-Eliestad Funeral Home.

William A. Niederberger spoke at Grace Lutheran Church on Action 70 the national Girl Scout anti prejudice project. Mrs. Aaron Norder was named Monroe Day Camp director for the coming summer with Day Camp June 15 to 19 at Zanders Lake near Browntown.
Monroe's Knights of Columbus honored six members at a recognition dinner at the WEW club. Honorary life memberships were given to Joseph Huber William Hogan and John Untersee. honorary memberships to Louis Koenig Joseph Milz and Joe Wells. About 75 members attended.
Nettie Bratley Bobb 79 formerly of Monroe died at St Clare Hospital Janesville Monday March 16 after admission March 13 from old age. Survived by son Clifford Janesville. husband John Elroy Bobb died 1944. Funeral Thursday 1 30 p m at Stnessy Funeral Home Monroe. Burial Cadiz Cemetery. Friends may call after noon Wednesday.

Monroe Swiss Club held a Turner Hall meeting with Hans Ziegler showing color films from Switzerland. The program highlighted Tessin scenes a Yodel Fest and Swiss cheesemaking. The Mixed Chorus will host another Swiss Air film on April 12 to promote a June 17 to July 17 trip.
Kiwanis Club of Saonroe will hear John Row, plant manager of Kelly-Springfield Tire Co Freeport, speak on tire manufacturing quality control at the noon luncheon in the VFW Club. The talk will cover government controls and tire ratings. Awards and prizes are noted, with upcoming Ladies Night set for April 29 at the Country Club and several interclub events planned through spring and summer.
The Retail Committee of the Monroe Chamber of Commerce outlined the promotional calendar for the coming year at a Monday night meeting in the First National Bank Community Room.
