Work Schedule Okayed for Park Preparation of Recreation Park
The Park Board approved a summer work plan for the recreation park with funding limits. Ronald D Johnson reported crews are building a new concession stand, to be leased to Nathan and Robert Goetz this summer with payments totaling 400 plus 5 percent of gross over 4000. The board set prices, approved solicitations at the stand or bleachers, and eyed salaries for summer workers. Planned projects include drinking fountains, resurfacing tennis areas, painting, fence repairs, horseshoe courts, and tree planting. Resurfacing around tennis courts will use blacktop at about 600, a safety measure. The board also considered changing trees, filling low baseball diamond spots, reseeding the football field, and approved a 50 donation for the post prom party.
