James R. Law 66 former Madison mayor and longtime Wisconsin Highway Commission chairman died today after years of ill health. He resigned as mayor in 1943 to head the state agency, later reappointed in 1949 with a term to 1955. Law, born in Madison, studied architecture at the University of Pennsylvania and helped found a local firm in 1914.
