Clifford Stout 69 Darlington Dies After Brief Illness
Clifford Stout a retired Darlington businessman died at a Darlington hospital after a brief illness. Services will be held at the Darlington Methodist church with burial in Union Grove cemetery and Masonic rites at the grave. He operated an electric and appliance store here until 10 years ago. He is survived by his wife a son Lawrence of Kansas City two grandchildren two great grandchildren and his mother Mrs Jen ni Stout. Friends may call at the Stout home.

William Scott a Milwaukee oil firm salesman injured in a three vehicle crash on Highway 11 near Brodhead yesterday was in good condition at St. Clare hospital. He suffered head back and chest injuries with shock. Clar ence Gilbertson and his wife from Orfordville were also hurt. Ralph Jones of Brodhead escaped injury. Investigators say Gilbertson began turning into the Anderson stockyards as Scott tried to pass. Scott was thrown from the car which was demolished. Sheriff reports the incident.
