Two Mishaps Occur in Monroe Fog
Monroe police logged two traffic incidents amid dense fog in southern Wisconsin over Monday and Tuesday. Mabel C Haskee, 44, of Route 3 Monroe, struck John G McGuire’s truck after a bus and an unidentified car halted ahead on Highway 11 two miles west of Monroe. Haskee’s car suffered heavy damage. McGuire’s truck had light damage. A second crash on 17th Street involved Sharon Lehr, 611 28th Ave, Monroe, and Edward Kennison, 1623 17th St, Monroe, after Lehr’s brakes failed leaving an alley and hitting Kennison’s eastbound vehicle. both cars sustained moderate damage.
