After hours of anxious waiting Mr and Mrs Louis F Blanc learned at noon today their son 2nd Lt Richard D Blanc was safe at a Tulsa Oklahoma airfield. He had landed there to refuel on a Glenview Illinois to El Toro California trip. Reports had suggested a missing plane matched his route and may have crashed in Lake Michigan. The pilot’s name wasn’t released and El Toro base was asked to verify. A wire indicated he was in Tulsa likely held by weather.
