Eight persons were injured in area traffic mishaps over the weekend as calm weather drew motorists onto highways. Deputy sheriffs will be on special Fourth of July duty to curb tragedies. A Monticello couple and their two children were hospitalized after their car went out of control near Monticello. The Hansen family suffered various injuries but were reported in good condition.
