Monroe Woman Critically Injured in Two-Car Collision
A 30 year old rural Monroe woman, Mrs. John J. Marty, remained unconscious in St. Clare hospital after a crash southeast of Monroe. Her husband, 35, and two children were injured. one child, Jerry Marty, 8, has a fractured arm while Karen, 5, was treated and released. The other driver, Walter J. Kueng, 16, Juda, and two passengers were uninjured. The collision occurred at 7 38 p m at Hoffmans corners an intersection of township roads four miles southeast of Monroe. The Marty car suffered heavy damage to the front end. The Kueng car was heavily damaged at the right side. The accident was the second injury crash at this intersection within a week.
