The Senate finance committee voted for two days of public hearings on the House bill to provide limited medical care for the aged. Secretary Flemming will open the first session with witnesses limited to ten minutes as doctors and others requested to testify.
An appeal for 35 donors with positive blood is issued for Robert Shager's open heart surgery at University Hospitals Madison on July 19. Donors aged 21 to 60, nonpregnant, with no serious allergies, may donate at St. Clare hospital July 5 or 6 or via the Monticello bloodmobile July 18, with parental consent for ages 18–21.
Total park work advances with sewer and water lines finished at the shelter house and restroom bases poured. Road through the park, featuring a water ramp, should be ready by Friday and dust control planned for the gravel surface. The Moose donate five picnic tables, and a gala dedication Monday will feature Gen. Twining and a Jet fighter from Monroe.

Air Force National Guard Bureau said no violations have been reported yet and that state adjutants general were reminded to comply with regulations.
Mrs. Jacob Hoesly of rural Albany was hurt in a head on crash on a curve one mile west of Albany at 7 15 p m. She sustained injuries to the right knee left hip and a nose cut. The driver of the other car 19 year old William T Briggs Jr also of rural Albany will be charged with driving on the left side of the road.
New York stocks showed an irregular pattern as gains were modest and losses outweighed advances. Trading was moderately active with the Baltimore and Ohio advancing about four points before trimming roughly one point. New York Central rose fractions on merger news.
The F86 Sabrejet memorial at Gen Nathan F Twining park marks firsts for the USAF in jet advancement. The display notes F86 speed records during Korea and a 14 to 1 kill ratio against MIGs. The F86D at Monroe’s Twining park is a surplus memorial built by North American Aviation with GE J47 engine and 24 rockets, later de armed. installation aided by Truax Base crew and Jaycees.
More than 500 residents attended the Monroe City Band concert in Lincoln Park as the summer series opener. The program included the encore 32nd Division March and drew a large crowd despite limited parking. The next show is July 4 in Gen Nathan P Twining Park from 8 p.m. until fireworks begin, with joint sponsorship by the city and the Music Performers Trust Fund in cooperation with the local AFM union.
