Miss Wisconsin pageant draws in Racine and Green Bay entrants

Oshkosh Racine and Green Bay contestants advanced in preliminaries of the Miss Wisconsin pageant. Carin Ann Kizewic of Racine won talent with Swan Lake choreography. Mary Jo Steffel of Green Bay won swimsuit. Miss America 1972 Terry Meeuwsen, from DePere, returned amid ovations. Preliminary rounds continue tonight and Friday.

Cost of living rise slows from April forecast

Monroe Dairy Queen Crown Event Set For Monday Night

The Monroe Dairy Queen will be crowned during the Monroe Swiss Club meeting at 8 p.m. Monday upstairs at Turner Hall. Voting ends this Saturday at local grocery stores with one vote per dairy product over twenty cents. Finalists will be announced Sunday after interviews and judging begin Monday at the First National Bank Community Room.
