William Beckman Dies at 86 in Monroe City
William F. Beckman 86 died at 7 25 am at St Clare hospital after a stroke and recent surgery. A long time Monroe civic leader he served 24 years on the city council first for Third Ward then Fourth Ward after redistricting. He chaired the Board of Public Works and was active on the Clarno Township school board and a sawmill operator. He is survived by five sons a daughter 12 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
